Got it from Lynda and Grahams shop actually. Before that it was an oil warmer... Now I'm prolly going to hear " HYPOCRITE " when I say this, but I don't worry about TOO much. Usually when I'm diffusing, the cat is upstairs on my bed (t'other is outside) and wouldn't come down unless you bribed him really good. When he wanders in the room I don't really bother with it unless he plans on sticking around. Then I will up and turn it off. I won't diffuse if he's going to stick around. Passing through yes. When I diffuse in the kids roooms, I don't worry about it at all. Cat aint going in THAT snakes mess! So there you go. From a cat loving diffuser. ;-) K Cheers! Guest guest
Oh, Kathleen! I know I was supposed to laugh, but those rules for cats actually made me nostalgic for a cat! I've got it bad! I miss everything but the throwing up, kitty litter, and cat butt in the face (dear Lord!! -that is SO disturbing...shuddering even now) My own cats died of old age years back. I haven't gotten another because one of my next door neighbor's cats was my good little friend for years (until I moved away last spring.) Now, I don't know anyone who'd take care of my cat when I occasionally travel. But, I can't hold out much longer. I'm a little worried about diffusing oils if I got a new cat. I know that oils are not good for cats. I'd send the neighbor's cat home for a few hours when I needed to diffuse oils in my old house. Usually, I'd wait until he asked to go outside - so as not to hurt his feelings. Here, if the cat lives with me...where could she go? How safe is it to just put a cat in a different room for a few hours, I wonder. How long before it's ok for a cat to come back into a room that's been cleaned with oils in the water or had oils diffused into the air? Any cat owners in this group who diffuse oils often?
