Guest guest
In my other life I used to sew a lot, after husband, kids, dog etc, I have not producet very much more than a huge pile of covers for all the matresses in our yacht before we sold it.. My German reliable thing (Pfaff 933), gave up it's breath after that ordeal and is now in for repair. While leavign it in the shop, we = I started to look longingly at the Janome machine they had up (Blue Jean modell), but after reading the Janome magazine, I had a new urge - one of their embordery master machines, that can do almost everything exept think for itlesf LOL. I thought it would maybe cost as much as DH's new sawing (sawing/sewing-hahaha) machine we got him last year - and boy did I think that one was expensive (but worth every öre it costed). So I called up the shop today and asked how much I would get for my Pfaff and how much that Japanese wonder machine would cost. Jeeeezzz luiiizz, guess how much? 45,000SEK!!! It's like 5626USD!! For a frigging sawingmachine!!!! Well, so much for dreaming of embroder my own little garments in unique style...BAM, back to earth. Quess I just have to make do with my repaired one for several more years - or as my DH said rather laconicly - otherwise I just had to start a sewingbusiness to earn enough money to cover the cost of that fancy thing... I think I just stick to my creams and such. I sold 9 lipbalms to the teacher at Johns daycare and they where mighty pleased with them. One should be grateful for small wonders ;-) Fragrant Blessings, Ylva
