I just love them, have several different and ahhh, do they smell good

for not such a large amount of money? Yep!! The waxes I have are from

different suppliers, some from Liberty Natural - among them two

different jasmines and a mimosa. I just checked out their website and

they have several more flower waxes now. I also have Orange flower,

tuberose, frangipangi and rose wax that I do not know from where the

come (got them thorugh friends) - but they do smell amazing all of

them. I do not use them on leave on products for sale, but have been

known to use them in butters for myself ;-O But in candles and

perfumes they work wonders. Yep, I know that solid perfumes are leave-

on products, but since the amount of wax used is so small (a little

goes a verrrry long way), I do consider the dangers of any solvents

residing to be miniscule. I don't know a sh-t about chemistry, but

when melting the floral wax along with the beeswax - don't you think

that any solvent that the wax may contain, would evaporate in the

heat??

Now it's time for putting on something warmer and venture out in all

the slushy halfmelting snow and grey grey grey overcast with Fiona.

Ylva and anyone else into making solid perfume.....

Hello there from a mostly-lurker. I had to write when I saw this post,

because I am so in love with making solid perfume, lotion/massage bars and

lip balms. I am really new to this process and would appreciate any

websites, resources, books to help me in this process. Particularly looking

for recipes and eo combinations for perfume as well as for therapeutic use.

I am really into using pure essential oils in more traditional ways. This

past year I have been incorporating them into soaps with much success.

I am now finding this new use for eos so exciting. (My friends are happy

too!) The possibilities are endless, aren't they?! I may venture into

using floral waxes as well, eventually.

So anyone out these, please e-mail the list or privately if you have any

ideas. I sure would appreciate it!

Su (who has finally recovered from holiday madness!)

P.S. I live in Hawaii and have access to Kukui nut oil. Anyone know the

therapeutic uses of it?
