Guest guest
Winter & spring that is!! One of the things I'm still not used to & I've live here, oh, lets say over half of my life now!! Yep, it is hard to get into the holiday spirit with the a/c on. But hold on, it will change. As I get older I thought it would be easier getting used to the heat & humidity but it gets harder, maybe because I work in it. Actually, it's the humidity. Can't wait until we can retire in '08 & move to Or. And, this is not a negative on people that love the heat & humidity - thank God we all love different types of weather - it would sure get crowded in one area!! Leads me to a story a realtor in Wy. told us (true story): his wife is a native Texan & was always complaining about the Wy weather & how much she loved & missed the Tx weather. They were in Dallas for a wedding & she again was complaining to everyone about the Wy weather & how great the Tx weather is. They go to leave for the wedding & he rolls down the windows & turns the a/c off. She starts yelling at him about the windows being down & the a/c turned off. He told her that she's always saying how nice the weather is in Tx so now she can enjoy it. Told her, you have the a/c on in the house, you hurry out to the car & turn the a/c on so you can hurry to an air conditioned mall - how come you are not out enjoying the " nice " Tx weather? He said he got the point across & she doesn't complain half as much.
