Guest guest
One of my favourite smells, but I would guess yours is overwhealing. It is one of those oils where the smell can persist for months. The best thing - if there is still a strong smell after you tried what the others suggest - is heat. If you can lift the carpet a touch and direct a fan heater or hairdrier onto the carpet and leave it running for an hour or two that will evaporate most of the oil. If it has soaked into the floor you will need to lift the carpet for sure. Don't use any kind of heater that glows red or you could get the fumes igniting. You also need to be careful that the room is well ventilated and you get your clothes out of that closet. If not you will leave a trail of bay oil everywhere you go. You guessed right. :-) It's one of my favorites, too.. but not *this* much. The Febreeze took care of the smell in the carpet. I don't smell it at all when I walk into my close now. But I do smell it when I get into bed, so I must have gotten it on my nightgown or something and then transferred it to my sheets. I'm changing the bed linens today, and that should take care of it. That Febreeze is good stuff!! -- Sandy (looking for a good price on bay oil)
