Guest guest
Ah, flu season! I was exposed to strep in early December and started to feel a little scratch in my throat a couple of days later. So I began taking megadoses of vitamin C (10,000-12,000 mg a day) plus grapefruit seed extract in my juice. Also a daily immunity tonic with garlic, ginger, honey, lemon and cayenne. (I can post a recipe, if you want it.) I ended up getting a slight cold that lasted less than a week, but nothing more. In other news.... my finger is getting better. (Cut *myself* instead of the dang winter squash...) Got my stitches out today. But the doctor says to wrap it for five more days and be careful as I begin moving it again, since the cut goes right across the joint and it could still open up again. (The joint nearest the end of my finger.) My question: is it too soon to begin using my scar treatment oil? (rosehip seed, heli, and other stuff -- thanks for the recs on ingredients, Butch and all!) Do I need to wait until it's all scabbed over and really sealed? I don't want to risk developing sensitivity to EO's, but I don't want to wait too long and be stuck with a scar, either.... (I do commercials occasionally and need to be able to have a camera close-up on my hand!) What say you?? And last, but not least, Merry Christmas to all of you!!!!! Golden retrievers Ruby and Kody send wags and kisses to Mundo, Fiona, and all the other furkids on the list!
