Guest guest
get them to not shrink while they are cooling? The few I have tried does that and the end result is a itsybitsy tine gap between the candle and the tin. Suggestions on what to blend the beeswax with, to keep this from happening? I notice when I blended beewax with the bayberry, it shrank much less - I guess b/c bayberry is softer and less dense. What other exciting projects are you working on? virtual milkbone 8==8 for Fiona. JenB
Guest guest
Small giggle JenB and some bones back to your furry babies :-D I don't have any container soywax and can't get it here, and no bayberry wax either to my knowledge :-( Sigh, poor me living on this side of the world...at least it's rather peaceful, one should count ones blessings :-) Hmm, I have made some very vanilla body lotions - special order - yohooo, made myself a new face cream (i just love that part, cooking up new things just for me), made a natural beeswax and rose candle, sold my friend some shea- and cocoabutter plus a small amount of the VODCC I got in a coop, made some lava lamp lipgloss - that was FUN - for my niece and today I made a special perfume for her (she is 11) - vanilla infused VODCC and jojoba, natural beeswax, vanilla abs, sandalwood, green and red mandarine plus pink grapefruit. It turned out exatly the way I had imagined it in my mind, so I'm more than pleased and it got my friend Bärbel green with envy ;-P Now I'm off to bed, after attending Sam's Christmas show at school. How cute can they get at the age 6-9??? If I got some nice pics out of it, I'm going to post them later this week. Guest guest
Wouldn't a veggie stearic help prevent this? Or can you mix it with beeswax? I've never made a 100% beeswax candle so I don't have that knowledge. ~~~Shelley~~~ - nsorcl Wednesday, December 17, 2003 10:48 AM Re: Container candles with beeswax - how to?? , ruby_mama2001 wrote: > get them to not shrink while they are cooling?
