Guest guest
This is VERY good news indeed Nancy, This will help our troops and our goals over in Iraq (and anyone who wants to go on about how our goals there are just about American plundering and about oil needs to go and educate themselves about the matter before saying BOO! And I'm not a Republican by any stretch of the imagination - so if I'm telling you that, you REALLY gotta go and check it out further ;-p) Unfortunately we, as Americans, still have a long fight ahead of us, as far as being the target of terrorist attacks and other bad things We cannot just sit by idly and sing " Have a Coke and a Smile " and hope all of our troubles will dissolve like a tooth does in a glass of Coke (anyone remember that science experiment from 3rd grade?) ... I pray for our men and women over there, and all over the world, protecting us and helping in the fight for our safety against terrorists and fight for our freedom and well being. I hope they can come home soon. I thank everyone who has been there and thank God/dess that many, including my husband (there in the 1st Gulf War), has made it home, and thank God/dess for the sacrifice of all those who haven't made it home (including Scott Kopytko who was a firefighter who died on 9/11 in the World Trade Center collapse - my family!). http://www.nytimes.com/library/national/091101rescuers.html So many people sacrifice so much for us, and we don't even begin to give enough credit - whether it be to soldiers, sailors, firefighters, police, etc ... and what is even worse it that so many folks have nothing but insults to hurl, when they just don't understand what it is really all about. It is just sad that we can't appreciate the someones that take care of the dirt that we don't want to deal with, we just enjoy the benefits of the poo going on behind the scenes .... Anyway, enough of my tirade, this is great news today! I hope this murdering horrible demon of a person finally pays for all the misery he has caused for the people who were supposed to be his kin and the people who he should have been trusted to lead, not mass murder and make absolutely miserable and hopeless! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com scentsl [scents1] Sunday, December 14, 2003 7:31 AM Saddam Hussein had been captured ALIVE Saddam Hussein had been captured American forces captured a bearded Saddam Hussein as he hid in the cellar of a farmhouse near his hometown of Tikrit, ending one of the most intensive manhunts in history. The arrest, eight months after the fall of Baghdad, was carried out without a shot fired and was a huge victory for U.S. forces. Nice news to wake up to. Guest guest
Good Morning Chris, >This will help our troops and our goals over in Iraq (and anyone who wants to go on about how our goals there are just about American plundering and about oil needs to go and educate themselves about the matter before saying BOO! And I'm not a Republican by any stretch of the imagination - so if I'm telling you that, you REALLY gotta go and >check it out further ;-p) >>>I do call myself a Republican. Yet I'm still glad we care vote either way. As I vote for who I believe will do the best job. >Unfortunately we, as Americans, still have a long fight ahead of us, as far as being the target of terrorist attacks and other bad things. We cannot just sit by idly and sing " Have a Coke and a Smile " and hope all of our troubles will dissolve like a tooth does in a glass of >Coke (anyone remember that science experiment from 3rd grade?) >>>We sure do. Just hope we don't lose any more troops before its over. >I pray for our men and women over there, and all over the world, protecting us and helping in the fight for our safety against terrorists and fight for our freedom and well being. I was born the year after WW11 ended. Never in my lifetime did I ever expect to see anything happen here like 9-11. My husband was a soldier, also a firefighter. The Dr's made him retire from the fire department. I well remember what it like to see body parts hanging from trains. How hard it is on these fine people. Yet I also remember a man with a bad heart and back, coming home so happy. He had carried a women out of a burning house and saved her life. He didn't care it could have cost him his life. >Anyway, enough of my tirade, this is great news today! I hope this murdering horrible demon of a person finally pays for all the misery he has caused for the people who were supposed to be his kin and the people who he should have been trusted to lead, not mass murder and make >absolutely miserable and hopeless! >>>My feeling also. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Find it hard to type with my silly cat on my lap.LOL Nancy
Guest guest
My 2 pennies worth here. No matter what you think politically, please remember our troops when this is all over and we are peaceful again. Do not forget that they are out there daily risking their lives doing things that you never hear about. No one cared in the 70's and 80's.
