Guest guest
Thanks everyone, I knew you could help! I was making the votive out of 1/3 bayberry, 2/3 beeswax blend. The wax combo is plenty hard. Here's what I have done. I had some square braid for beeswax votives that was pre-waxed. It's from gen-wax, #3 if that means anything - but it's bigger that the other pre-tabbed wicks. I cut to the length, then pulled old wick out of tab, made the hole in the tab bigger, then threaded new wick through and crimped. I've poured ONE, as opposed to 10, and will test it in a bit. Test test test - my new candle motto. Will let you know how it turns out, maybe even post a picture. Thanks, JenB

Cause bayberry is $$$$, and i have lots o' beeswax and together they smell really yummy.... Plus, as Janet pointed out to me, bayberry is too soft for much other than tapers - but it's so far working well blended with the b-wax in other shapes. An added bonus is the pretty green color - and did I mention it smells divine? JenB
