I'm also curious... have you had a problem priming with Beeswax? I too prime with my beeswax and the beeswax/soy mixture... course in my case it's because I'm lazy. I've already got the wax melting/melted and can't be bothered to do something " on the side " . Do you find the paraffin primed ones burn better perhaps? Really curious! K Cheers! Guest guest
Linda~ Now I have a question, since I prime my square braid with beeswax and get good results why do you prime yours with paraffin. Not being critical just trying to understand. Janet >I love beeswax Poured over 200 lbs of beeswax candles this >season. Her is what I have found with them over the years. HUGE >wicks!!!!!!!!! Guest guest
Hey Janet, No problem I use paraffin that has a much higher melt point so that my candles have a hotter flame. I can use a wick that is not a rope for a larger beeswax candle since it helps to make the pool larger. Linda - Janet Golden-Hogan Linda~ Now I have a question, since I prime my square braid with beeswax and get good results why do you prime yours with paraffin. Guest guest
Gotta ya. If you look at the beeswax roses I do, I have gone to a smaller wick so the outside petals stay in tact and the light shows thorough them until the top of the flame get even with the petals and they begin to melt. But going for larger melt pools and scent throw, even my ole brain can follow that one. LOL Janet >Hey Janet, No problem I use paraffin that has a much higher melt point >so that my candles have a hotter flame.
