Maybe OT: Europe and Their Biocides Directives

Sorry I just picked this part to answer. I remember being so happy when the

Wall

came down. It never occurred to me that W Germany wouldn't be happy about this.

This past year I was shocked when my friend from Germany told me what a hardship

it was for W Germany, because the people from E Berlin were taking so many jobs.

Also the people from W Germany were paying taxes to help those from behind the

wall.

Too me this is so sad, as we have been helping many countrys as long as I can

remember.

would be secure for all the folks in Europe and America would not have to

come back and save their asses for the third time. Then they began to

realize that Germany was not gonna be a problem .. Germany didn't

have the what for to be a problem because the country got deep in

Yes .. it is. And you hit the nail on the head below without maybe

knowing you have hit it.

What's up has nothing to do with Europe being ahead of the USA in any

regard. Texas and Oklahoma together are a bit bigger than Europe so we

shouldn't be looking for them to become a world leader even if the are

able to make this European Union/European Economic Community thing work.

 

What's up is about many countries in Europe now realizing that for many

generations they have pissed away their natural resources and gotta do

something now .. even if its wrong .. to save the rest. One of the main

reasons the British loved the New World was cause we had big trees to

use

for main masts on their sailing ships .. they had used up the big trees

in England and the only ones left were those under the control of the

King George and his cronies and they didn't like folks like Robin Hood

and his Merry Band shooting the only deer left and chopping down the few

trees remaining .. the tales like Robin Hood are based on realities.

 

Now the public is up in arms over fox hunting .. but I think it has more

to do with dislike for royalty and the privileged few who can afford the

sport than it does about saving the few foxes they have left.

 

And considering that Germany has not a lotta land to waste they groom

their forests well .. and instead of having a front yard full of grass

... folks plant crops right up to the door .. and if you run over a

seedling there .. you pay for what the seedling would have produced in

wood when it was mature .. I BS you not .. been there in the military.

Away from environmental salvation and back to the Biocides Directive and

its impact (or not) on Aromatherapy. What's up is a bunch of

bureaucrats

who have positions and they must do something to justify and maintain

the positions so they are thinking lets do something now even if its

wrong.

You see, the whole idea of a European Union and European Community was

kicked off about the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Europeans

were scared crapless of a united Germany .. can't say I blame them

considering their history .. and even now with a feller like Schroeder

at the helm.

 

So they had this idea of embracing Germany to make sure the future would

be secure for all the folks in Europe and America would not have to come

back and save their asses for the third time. Then they began to

realize that Germany was not gonna be a problem .. Germany didn't have

the what for to be a problem because the country got deep in financial

hock when they started absorbing their East German brothers.

 

But .. the idea of an EU and/or EC was moving right along and once you

get bureaucrats dreaming of creating more bureaucracy its hard to stop

them. So they decided this idea was still good as it would be a valid

counter-balance against the economic, industrial and military power of

the United States .. which is not a bad an idea if you are European ..

but it ain't gonna work cause the EU/EC is made up of countries with a

traditional dislike and distrust of each other and its just a matter of

time till it falls apart .. England has told them to stick their Euro

money where the sun don't shine .. they are keeping the pound sterling

and smart it is .. Norway told'em we don't even want to talk about this

with you .. and there are other countries that are not real happy

campers right now .. though they are members of the union.

 

Then the bureaucrats decided that member countries didn't have enough

problems dealing with their own gummits and parliaments and taking care

health, transportation, social issues, defense and other requirements of

gummits in free countries .. so they complicated it more by creating

another layer of unnecessary fat .. they created a European Community

Gummit .. another Gummit to oversee the so-called autonomous(?) Gummits

of the individual member countries .. and that made life a little more

difficult for them when this new Gummit began passing rules on how what

traditional foods you can serve and not serve and how everybody had to

act like little ducks in a row and creating an EU standard condom and

such .. if anybody thinks I'm lying then they been watching too much

television and not keeping up with current events in the real world.

 

Basically .. the goal .. though not yet announced but suspected by them

whut didn't just ride into town yesterday on a tater wagon, is to create

a United States of Europe. It will never be but think of all the fun

the bureaucrats can have in the meantime .. and even get paid for

filling unnecessary positions and legislating unnecessary legislation

that can NOT be enforced in the second place.

 

Its not gonna work because of something I mentioned that we didn't have

in the USA .. and something the European Union would like to see go away

in Europe .. Nationalism. Its a fearsome thing when you live as close

as they do and share a history of trying to bomb each other off the face

of the Earth. But the folks there are too diverse .. don't have the

same background or history or languages or cultures and in addition to

having butchered each other in centuries and centuries of wars afore

there were state boundaries .. back in the Dark Ages .. and staying at

war with each other for hundreds of years as did the French and English

and Germans .. they gotta deal with the religious differences and we can

see in Ireland that its not that easy .. plus some folks have not

forgotten the Crusades or the Inquisition .. believe me on that one.

 

And also keep in mind that the majority of Europe is Social Democrat.

Like it or not .. that is called Socialism .. which is the economic base

of ideal Communism .. cept'in Socialism in the case of the Europeans is

not ruthless and totalitarian .. to a point. They are generally into

womb to tomb/cradle to grave care of their people .. which is not a bad

idea if one is an idealist and has a population that is smaller than New

York City or Istanbul .. which is the case with many Europeans

countries. But it also stymies initiative and progress in some areas

cause when Big Brother keeps his bureaucratic finger in your business

all the time and thinks you are not smart enough to take care of

yourself so he is gonna do it for you. Their Big Brother is a whole

helluva lot bigger than

our Big Brother and he is getting bigger every year .. we don't want our

Big Brother to get bigger and though he is getting a little fat around

the middle I think the American people won't tolerate him getting obese.

 

Anyway .. back to use of essential oils. European Union regulations

can best be described as bureaucratic bovine excrement and the odds are

good that they will be ignored like most everything else legislated by

the EU. The EU Cosmetics regulations have been in place for years but

the majority of AT suppliers ignore them. The EEC has no enforcement

system for their laws, they have no police .. just lots of laws. They

leave it to each autonomous (?) Gummit to enforce those laws and it

isn't done.

 

There are folks crying out for assistance .. knights in shining armor

prepared to do battle with and get the credit for defeating the forces

of evil even though those forces ain't got nothing to whip you with

ceptin' wet noodles. And as far as such humma-humma ever being picked

up on by the United States .. it'll happen about the time elephants

learn to fly.

 

We are very unique in the USA .. I didn't say the best .. but we are

damn sure different. We have the oldest continuous standing

constitution in existence .. and we are the only country in the world

that has NO LAWS whatsoever concerning the press .. that is unheard of

in other countries. And it unlikely that the USA is gonna adapt a

regulation condom either.

Good show .. wasn't for the freedom of movement ol' Johnny Appleseed had

its likely they would be eating tamale sauce. And if not for a buncha

fellers who decided that taxation without representation was not the way

they wanted to live .. we all might be eating blood pudding, and having

tea and crumpets instead of coffee and Fig Newtons at break time.

I am smiling .. I love history .. and current events. And though some

folks see any attitude outside of teaching the world to sing in perfect

harmony as being politically incorrect .. I personally prefer to tell it

like I think it is .. I distrust politically correct folks because they

rarely tell it like it is .. they tell it like they wish it were or like

they think other folks would like to hear it.
