Guest guest
Hi Kristerae, > You know I saw an article somewhere that a hydrosol can be a > synthetic in concentrated form that you add water too. We can find all kinds of weird articles around. And sometimes they are technically correct .. but misleading. IF we go by the definition I reported from the dictionary .. " a colloidal dispersion in which water is the dispersing medium " .. then it has a pretty wide range. Such a meaning could include synthetics .. and some scientists might argue that infusion (like with a tea bag) fits the definition that I present here. BUT .. it is misleading when used in the industry of natural aromatics. Every industry has a common language that must be used by all the folks within that industry .. but we might find a different definition of a term outside that industry. > YUCK! If I am going to buy hydrosol I want distilled plant matter-not > chemicals. True .. because a Hydrosol from distillation of aromatics is very unique in that it contains portions of both the natural water soluble and non water soluble chemical components of that aromatic. > If this is the case, people need to know their suppliers. Yes .. and people need to know the CORRECT QUESTIONS to ask. And do NOT allow someone to talk to you about Floral Waters either. ;-p > Happy Holidays! > Kristerae And to you .. and keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
