Ya think? It's pretty political stuff and we all know how I feel about YL and

thier CRAP. I guess it's Chris' call. I know there are YL folks on this list

and maybe I shouldn't just to have ONE list where I don't go stomping all over

their wittle feelings ;-)... There is a list that I'm going to post them on,

it's pretty dead and as I quit ATFE yesterday (that will make SOMEONE on this

list dance a jig for joy! ;-) due to over editing in my opinion, I might go

cause some trouble over there! ;-)

Cheers!

Hey Janine,

I think you mean .. the company you use calls Hydrosols/Hydrolats as

Floral Waters .. its not a commonality in England. Particularly, one

company uses that term .. Norfolk .. and Norfolk Oils does produce their

Hydrosol from distillation .. and good it is. But they are also quite

limited because there are not many essential oils produced in England ..

most come from the Third World and Emerging Market countries.

I know all the Brit dealers .. and have discussed this terminology issue

with some of them .. and with Martin Watt. Generally, they agree and in

every case Martin agrees .. that Hydrosol/Hydrolat much more accurately

describes what they are producing .. and by a stretch of the imagination

one can (wrongly methinks) use the term Floral Waters ONLY if they were

distilling flowers/blossoms. Meaning .. Rosemary Hydrosol couldn't be

called a Floral Water even by those who insist on misusing the term.

Why do I press this issue? Two reasons. One - we need common language

in any trade .. otherwise we can't properly evaluate what the other one

is talking about. We use Botanical Names for essential oils for this

reason. But using the term Floral Waters too loosely opens the door for

something I've been down on for years .. phony Hydrosols. There are too

many folks out and about selling Floral Waters from fruits and such that

aren't distilled .. and others are mixing this and that with some

distilled water and calling it Floral Waters .. definitely avoiding the

terms Hydrosol/Hydrolate they are.

Why not? Kathleen just posted a couple of posts to Idma (you should

post them here Kathleen) where the YL hearty is telling their folks (for

the record) to straighten the frig up and stop claiming this and that ..

and stop calling MR. Gary Young .. Dr. Young. Means to me the FDA done

got on their butts like ugly on a wart hawg. And they have some pretty

straight directions for their distributors to clearly indicate on their

sites that they are " independent. " Means .. to me .. that the YL

heirachy will continue to encourage them to lie through their teeth

while off the record .. and the YL top brass wants to remain insulated

from any actions that might come down the road later one.

Hard to say. I doubt that all his oils are bad oils. He doesn't even

produce many of them .. just as the folks in England don't produce most

of theirs. You can't produce Ylang Ylang or Rose Otto or Tea Tree or

90% of the oils we know of in the USA or in England .. so Gary Young and

friends are buying them from folks outside the USA .. and unless one

tries real hard to buy crap they're gonna accidentally get some good

EOs.

His prices are crazy .. twice and three times those of mine and most of

the other sellers on this list. They are high because (1) They are very

greedy and (2) They have to share profits with those in the up lines.

They claim to have the ONLY therapeutic oils in the universe and they

have mesmerized their groupies and cult followers into believing that so

they will continue to pay 200% and upward more than they need to pay to

get the same (or better) results with other folks oils that sell for a

hell of a lot less.

I have been in open conflict with Young Living for better than 8 years

now. They tried to compromise me by offering to buy massive quantities

of Turkish origin oils from me .. I told them to bug off. What has

bothered those of us who are anti-YL from the git go is laid out in

these URLs http://www.fragrant.demon.co.uk/ylfiles.html Read straight

through to the bottom and then click where you wish.
