Okay, let me see if I have this straight... paraphrasing here...

1. You make candles and soap and other stuff, right?

2. You have a friend who's come over and seen all your stuffed and loved it?

3. Your friend likes your stuff so much that she wants to open a shop with

you as partner and/or featuring your products...

Okay, IF the above is true, I don't see the problem...

With your name on everything, how could she get credit for YOUR stuff? Your

name is on it isn't it?

Or is it that you want to open the shop yourself and ONLY by yourself... if

this is true, I would think seriously about a partnership, then you would share

only half the risk, granted only half the profits too but that could still

work out well for both of you...

UNLESS she is suggesting selling everything as HER stuff or shop stuff (and I

personally wouldn't have a problem with that if she's buying your stuff and

you're making money off it) I don't see a problem.

Or perhaps with your health problems you think the pressure would be too

much?

It is early morning and I have cotton wool for brains, but I don't see the

problem. ;-)

Cheers!

Gmorning Everyone....

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving...I had a nice one...as

always had my daddy come over for a feast.

I'm having a problem here in Central California and don't quite know what

to do about it. I keep trying to ignore it, thinking it will go away...but when

another friend sent me this friend's link to her profile this morning and it

saying what it did...just made me want to cry.

It has been my dream for many years to open a store hear in town or nearby

called the Kitchen Witch...well I changed my mind about the name...but not the

idea...offering alot of herbal things...natural homemade bath and beauty,

candles...you name it..I've never really been able to pursue this due to the

fact that I was always a single mother working a few jobs and going to school.

Last year I got married, earlier this year I got fired from my job due to

my DR wanting to take me off work a few months due to my disabilities. So out of

boredom I started out with candles, then soapmaking and the boomeranged from

there. I've met soooooooooo many wonderful people from these groups and so

willing to help.

This friend of mine came over a few weeks ago and just loved everything I

was doing all over my home. To me this is my glitch in life...I love everything

about it...and when I do it...it keeps my mind off my fibromyalgia...it carries

me off to another world. Now I feel like she wants to take that away from me.

She wants to take my dream and run with it. She even had her husband come over

here to see what I'm up to. She has slipped a few times telling me that she's

mentioned to others that she is going to start a business doing all this. I have

completely encouraged her in the directions of the items that I would love to

do, but have my hands in enough products as is. She has mentioned going in as

partners or her opening a store in her name and featuring my products...the list

goes on. I'm in complete awwwwh. I don't know what to think about it. I told her

right now I'm planning on just doing this through my home a few years and if one

day I open a little store, it is something I want to pass on to my little bug.

Why would I want her to open a store and get the credit for my work? Maybe

if we were from a big community it wouldn't bother me as much...maybe it

would...I dunno she's suppose to be my friend :(

I dunno have many of you had anything like this happen before and if you

did, how did you handle it? I know I've mentioned this to a few friends that

know her and don't think it's very nice.
