Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I will start with the bad news..... I have been ill for the past 4 or 5 months and my doctor has finally said if I don't start taking things easier that I will be back in the hospital. I have not been in the hospital for 4 years now and thought I had gotten past all of that. The result of his statement is that my darling Paul is making me close my store. I am extremely sad but know that this will just open new doors to me. I am not getting out of aromatherapy or massage supplies. I will set up my store in my home like I used to have it. I have a heated garage that I am remodelling and a spare bedroom too. Out in the garage will be all my diffusers and other gift items. In the spare bedroom will be all my eo's, carrier/massage oils and all the products that I make that include them. The good news is that now I will be able to expand my craft line. I have asked for my xmas presents to be classes to determine what I would like to get into. So far I have thought of sketching (to be able to put all the designs in my head on paper), woodworking, woodcarving, making ceramics, pottery (is that how ceramics is made?), and stained glass. I am looking for ideas, my friends. Please tell me what all the different craft areas/hobby areas there are. I will still be doing craft shows and the big saturday market in the summer. I have to stay busy if I am going to be at home all day by myself again or I will go crazy........... Thanks for listening and in advance for any all ideas. Hugs, >>Cheryl Dear Cheryl, Sure can understand what your going through. I had to close my store last year. It was just to painful to keep working. I did spend a lot of time studying candles, making lotions, creams, anything to keep busy. I love aromatherapy, will never give up studing about the EO's. Make more stuff for family and friends. This has given me more time to work in my yard. To bad the weather wasn't that nice this year. This next year my dog will help me more in the yard. Even though its painful, I do love the flowers. Then the birds I have throughout the year. Good Luck to you. You will find something you like. Hugs Nancy scents1
Guest guest
Best of luck to you Cheryl. I had wondered why you weren't " just " using the garage, then I saw you were in Alaska. Guest guest
Thanks Judy, Well now it is a bit chilly and we have more snow so far than last year altogether - or so it seems. I have to put carpet down, insulate the walls better and put up some sheet rock to make it look nice though. It is not a modern house therefore the garage was actually used as a garage. Guest guest
Yeah you can Cheryl. It's like growing here in the 'summer'. We have 3 months in which to grow anything edible and worth having. So do you. I think Ak is where they do all the tests on miracle grow! LOL You grow the veggies, I will bring home the fish. I read, a LONG time ago, of a restaurant in Colorado that uses warmed, raised beds. Depending on money availability, you could do it. I have to wait to come up til my foot heals [and the fishin' is good, <g>]. Figure 3 months from now IF I stay off it.
