Guest guest
I remember somebody posting some time ago about wanting to swap sour dough starters. I have a starter I made and kept alive for about 6 or 7 years now. Its great. It lives in a ceramic jar in my fridge I also have a starter somebody sent me from Alaska that is in flake form (I haven't activated it yet). I'd love to trade starters with anyone who wants to, but I 'm not sure how I'd send it properly. Anyone ever done this before? I suppose I can look it up *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
Guest guest
How did you move it? In a cooler? I have *never* heard of one in flake form. I would love a starter, but don't have one to share. Mine never seem to be like my Dad's. Man, sourdough pancakes was THE family breakfast. Mine always end up rather flat and not tasting right. Or maybe it's just been that it's been so long since I've had good sourdoughs, I don't remember the taste correctly. lol Warm regards, Janine Phariss www.BlueSageNaturals.com Unique & Innovative Herbals

To dry a starter, activate it, pour a little out onto some wax paper and let it dry, then crumple, fold, put in a ziplock and send. I have a few different kinds, Rye, whole wheat, half wheat. If you wanna swap, let me know! JenB
