I can't think of anything that would help the bone, but a nice

compress with some oils (lavender, heli, sweet marjoram etc.) might

feel good and help with associated soft tissue spasm and trauma. This

is assuming the skin is intact.

Did this happen to you, Janine? I hope you're not trying to type

one-handed! ;P

Thanks Jen. Yes, it's me. I've been fighting bunions too. I supinate when I

walk. Apparently only 3% of the population supinates when they walk.

[supinate for those that don't know= walk on the outside of your foot.

pronate=walk or roll toward the inside of your foot].

I've had it for a week. Couldn't figure out what it was at first. Thought it

was a new bunion, but the whole foot was swollen, etc. and major painful.

Read up on 'stress fracture'. Says to elevate it and no weight bearing for

3-4 months and the little toe area [5th mteatarsal] doesn't heal rapidly as

there is not a lot of blood flow.

JUST as I was getting more energy from the bacteria finally leaving my body

after 2+ years. Well, at least I got the painting done!

Hubby is happy. No more painting he says, no Lowe's, no shopping, no Sam's

Club, no ice cream. geeez, what's a girl to do? :))

Warm regards,

If you want to increase blood flow, gernaium eo is excellent for

circulation, you might try that.

You know, I think I had a " duh " moment this AM when I responded to

you. You DID say metaTARSAL, not metaCARPAL. I think despite the

fact I do know my A & P, and am a LMT (though I don't do it for a

living) I am so used to thinking in terms of horses these days - and

associate any " meta - xxxx " injury with a hand(with horses, it really

doesn't matter WHAT foot/hand the injury is on - it essentially the

same to them!)

Not sure why I'm so slow on the uptake today, but sorry for the mix

up. :P Now I have a cute image of you typing away with one foot!!

I did make a nice, icey foot bath once with some lavandin, black

pepper, and smidge of nutmeg. Felt great.

I'm no herbalist, and someone else would be able to tell you if this

is a good combo, but I know that oatstraw tea has calcium, and

horsetail has silica. That might help with the bone part.

I do hope you feel better...
