Guest guest
Chris, I think you've mentioned this correlation of the channels and movement before (tai yang related to reaching, shao yang related to maneuvering as in pronation, supination and yang ming related to grasping. It's fascinating for me, since my earlier background before studying TCM was in studying 'movement consciousness' and particularly what is called 'developmental movement.' In the system of analysis you mention, are there also correlations between movements and the yin pairs - tai yin, shao yin and xue yin? In the system I studied, before developing into movement related to space (reaching, grasping, turning in space) one would first establish a relationship to gravity, through yielding, pushing and rolling into the earth, rather than into space. Is this what the yin channels guide, in your opinion? ---RoseAnne S.
