Guest guest
Hi All, > No, my only point was that we practice real medicine, not faith > healing. This seems to have touched on some nerves. I don't swing > dead chickens over my head and with the numerous new age practitioners > within our medicine, that is how many in Western medicine perceive us. > From this discussion, it appears well founded. Too bad. Dr. Don > Snow, DAOM IMO, " real medicine " is holistic; it uses all relevant means to contact the patient (human or animal), and show kindness and compassion to win his/her trust and confidence. It addresses (where relevant) the three levels of spirit, psyche and soma. And it involves focused Yi/Intention. These aspects of medicine/healing are addressed on a separate List - LIKEMlist, where: L = Love I = Intuition & Intention (Yi) K = Knowledge (technical, in-depth, lifetime study & familiarity with as much medicine & life-science as the practitioner's energy can handle) E = Empathy (compassion, feeling together with the patient, and showing this) M = Mysticism [the recognition and day-to-day living of the awareness that we depend totally on Nature and the Architect of all that is) Best regards, Phil
