I believe that, more often than not, people in the scientific/medical

community (in the USA) will form judgements according to the merits

of the evidence and logic.

 

BTW, for all the rhetoric, on all sides, this has been a stimulating

and informative bit of discussion over the last couple of days.

While this might be true in today's world more is about marketing/propaganda

then about the actual valid research. Research has become a major money maker

and is now getting into our profession. Let's hope that we can have good

results with decent research. The public opinion of things is where we need to

be more concerned. MB
