Guest guest
Hello all On behalf of a fellow student's son I would like to ask if anyone has a (reference to a) treatment protocol or TCM/acupuncture view on Osgood- Schlatter Disease. The only thing I can find on the net is that treatment usualy only consists of pain relieve. Any other ideas? Best wishes Alwin
Guest guest
Worked at a sport injury clinic for several years so here is my two cents worth, the treatment should focus on two things releasing the GB channel as well as using Ashi points to move chi and stop the pain. Tonifying the St and the Spleen points to increase the qi in the channel over all, use external herbal formula to release stagnation, and if send the boy to some one who can teach him a Kwa squat! Should get good result with the pain reduction within a couple of TX, it would stabilise for a while then might come back so small brakes in the treatment is useful. Hope that helps Ferris
