Guest guest
I have been working with a young woman for several months and have not been able to help her start menstruating. Last period was @ 9 months ago. I referred her to a fertility specialist, who did an ultrasound of her ovaries and found 3 eggs on each side. He wants to put her on Clomid and progesterone. (He did not do a blood test on any of her hormone levels, except for TSH, which is in normal range.) Does anyone have any info on increasing FSH with herbs? I have successfully lowered FSH, but never raised it. Bai Ji Li comes up as a single herb remedy, but it also raises testosterone. Anyone have any experience with this? TCM DX.-Blood Deficiency, blood stag. Yang def. Have been working on resolving these issues but no period yet. Thanks for any input. Guest guest
Hi SNH, I would look with your client at the emotional side of not having a period. How doe sshe feel about " being a woman " ? Does she have any other problems? Like an eating disorder? Artemis
Guest guest
Thanks for your reply. No emotional or eating disorders. It bothers her that she isn't getting her period and would like to get pregnant. She is, by all standards, very healthy emotionally. Guest guest
None! Although I did try Maciocia's theory about splitting the cycle into 4 phases and in 1 or 2 phases you dry damp from the uterus. And, no results either. I have to look up the FSH herbs, but among them are False Unicorn. I believe the key to lowering FSH is to raise estrogen, so any of our estrogenic herbs should be very helpful, as is eating a diet higher in phytoestrogens.... My files are at the office and I'm not, so I'll post more details soon. Guest guest
Re: Anovulatory 24 y/o When I treat infertility I prefer to use Basal Body Temperature charts. At the day of " predicted " ovulation I needle ovary point in the ear, Ren 3, Ren 4, E-stim on ZiGongXue - Sp 6. I was taught this technique in my school. Also, in the case of no ovulation I use three formulae according to the diagnosis and BBT (before and after menses, and at " ovulation " ). Usually stable results can be seen in three months.
