Guest guest
Hi everyone I was wondering if you guys could offer some advice on herbs to help my client. I dont have much exsperience of infertility so any advice is much appreciated. the case is: female, 37yrs old has been trying to conceive for 18 months, both partners have been check and their is no apparent medical reason as to why they are no t conceiving. when the patient first came to see me she had an intermittant burning pain around the area of guan yuan this would occur 5 out of 7 days. height is 170cm weight 72kg. client is aparently fit and helthy from observation, apart form dark rings arround the eyes. There is no medical history of family history. client suffers from mental tension as she works as a research assistant and is the troubble shooter. Around the menses the patient suffers from fatigue and low blood pressure, periods are occasional very painful with sharp heavy pain and the patient offten takes pain killers before the pain occurse as she does not want it to disrupt her work. menses: started at 12yrs, last aproximately 3 days with a few days either side spotting. The length of cycle is 28 days and in the pase she has used the contraceptive pill. The blood is dark red with clots and some clear mucus. T - thick yellow greasy coating at the root, red tip, body slightly dark, with no coating p - thready and slippery. after several acupuncture sessions the burning pain was gone and the period quality and pain had improved. At this time the patient was also taking xiao yao wan, but due to her busy life style had a tendancy to take 12 pills once a day at the most. I then asked the patient to continue acupuncture once a month, but to decied weather she was willing to commit to take the herbal treatment properly. i would like to give her a perscription tailored specifial to her, but i am not sure what to give. any help is much apreciated. Thanks the patient is active playing squash and sleeps a regular 8hrs
Guest guest
My first impression when reading her situation, is she really needs to chill. I think acupuncture more regularly, once a week would help a lot. I would reframe the conversation. This is about treating your stress, your comfort level in the world, walking through life with some peace. When you get there, overall body functions change and conception is more likely to happen. I treated two women in there 30's (around the same time). Both came for stress and anxiety. Just a few months later, both got pregnant (one had two adopted children on the way). I also had another woman later 30's who was very focused on the fertility issue. I guess I kept wanting to make things happen. She did not get pregant. Her pulses got a lot better over time. I would also add the herb, and of course if she can't come regularly, you will have to rely on it more. I did use Calm Spirt for both women with the anxiety. Guest guest
To Alphatrion Get Randine Lewis's book The Infertility Cure. It will guide you well with infertility issues. You can get it online, or at your local Border's or Barnes and Noble. Marleen
