I agree with others.....I think you would be remiss in

not insisting that the woman have a complete GYN

workup to rule out something truly serious before

continuing to treat her. I'm surprised that no one

has asked if the patient in question is using some

form of hormone replacement? If so, it is not uncommon

to resume having periods, even when they have

previously ceased.

I agree, and would also consider fibroids. Also, where did they get

the info that cervical smears are ineffective, that data doesnt

sound right to me.
