Guest guest
Hi, Phil..... Your timing with this article is priceless! Thank you. Because I work in an integrative environment, I'm constantly put on the defensive with regard to herbal treatment. I have an HCV patient whom I co-manage with a liver specialist. She has no other treatment to offer him except peg-Interferon, to which he has a history of being non-responsive and suffering marked side effects. Her response is " well, we don't know what they do....there are no randomized controlled trials on them " . Despite two surgeries and having been on massive doses of IV antibiotics (Unicondylar septic knee), his LFTs have been WNL (except for one occasion)for the six months I have treated him. They previously had never been normal for the past 20 years. Any feedback from others treating HCV? Kay King, DC, FIAMA
