Guest guest
I am an acupuncturist traveling to the US in June this year and am interested in attending a seminar or conference while I am there. At the moment I am just interested in finding out what is available, and I can pretty much plan my trip around it - so if there is anyone who could let me know what is on, or some places to look, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
Guest guest
Jeffrey Yuen is scheduled to be in Los Angeles at the California University of Integrative Medicine 6/23-6/26. The phone number of the university is 310-914-4116; they should be able to give you more specifics, although it can take a bit to get a return call. I believe the topics include Shang Han Lun and musculoskeletal conditions. He's an amazing source of knowledge and worth the effort to see. As of last weekend, the June schedule was: Fr.23.June ShangHanLun: on transformation/transmutations from TaiYang (3rd of a series of 6 days) Sa.24.June The Five Pillars -- about the " 5 " major muscles which link together the 3 main cavities (head/thorax/pelvis), i.e. the SCM, diaphragm, abdomenal rectus, paravertebral, and psoas/ilio-psoas -- sometimes called the ancestral sinews. So.25.June Prescribing (customzing) QiGong exercises for your patients Mo.26.June The School of Cooling and Cold (Lui Wan-Su - 1st of the " 4 Great Masters " of the Song-Jin-Yuan period): GI physiology and pathology (3rd in a series of 6 days) Fridays and Mondays are held at the American University of Complementary Medicine, at 11543 Olympic Blvd, near Sawtelle in West Los Angeles. Saturdays Sundays are held in a lecture hall at the UCLA (David Geffen) School of Medicine in Westwood, LA. (the AUCM building on Olympic is about 2 miles from the UCLA location. The ShangHanLun and Lui Wan-Su lectures are part of series, but, as most of Jeffery Yuen's workshops, are complete in themselves. He usually provides review for aspects that need it.
