Guest guest
I just received reimbursement from WC insurance for acupuncture (old code: 97780) for $52. Does anyone know: is there a way to increase the amount of reimbursement without doing electro or other modalities? Thanks, Marian

Guest guest
The work comp fee is what it is. Other modalities will bring this up as will proper evaluation/mgmt coding. I would not complain too much as this is more then many pay cash for. Curious as to why you are billing with the old code still. Is the state slow in updating its database with newer codes? Mike W. Guest guest
Marian are you sure it was the 97780 code. If memory serves me the WC code is a 97801. 97780 is a CPT code and WC usually will not pay Oakland, CA 94609 - mike Bowser Chinese Medicine Thursday, February 23, 2006 6:56 AM RE: California WC billing The work comp fee is what it is.
