Guest guest Posted February 17, 2006 Report Share Posted February 17, 2006 Didn't treat it but had it happen to me. When I was a teenager had my big toe slammed in a door. The nail was lifted off the bed and over some time slowly was detaching as it was growing out. I kept trimming it back as I wanted to be able to put on shoes and participate in some activity. I can only suggest that they leave it attached as much as possible, keep it wrapped to protect it and keep the area clean. Mine grew back correctly. I hope this helps. Mike W.
