Well I'm not an expert on the requirements, but I don't think you'd have to

re-take the exam unless the certification had been lapsed for a very long time.

If you look at the NCCAOM website, you will see that there are provisions

to reinstate certification after if has lapsed. Everyone who has questions

should look at the site and make sure they understand what it says. You also

have to know what your own state requires, since the state requirements are

different. Some states require NCCAOM certification, and some don't, and some

states, like CA have their own requirements.
