This is NOT the first time this has happened.

True Richard it is not the first time,. Unfortunately there are those in our

profession who are without ethics.

This has been shown in scandals in California with the board members selling

the test answers.

This has been shown in situations where people take a weekend seminar with

someone and then teach the course they just took, and even claim to be

experts or to have created the course.

AND

This has been shown by the at least two times that people have -by one means

or another- stolen the NCCAOM items (questions) and passed them along to

others.

I believe that these unethical practitioners exist in every profession and

that they are a tiny minority in ours.

I still find it sad and hope they are caught and prosecuted.

Doc

There is much more than that which is unethical than just these petty

thieves. What about the POOR security by the organization? NOW all of a sudden

they

are tightening up? This is not a new problem!

And what about the schools? Allow flunking and cheating students to graduate.

Teach primarily to PASS some weak entry level test while the herbal education

is glossed over?

And what about society at-large which allows the totally unqualified such as

the 100 hour week-end-wanna-bees or better yet the MDs without any education

to call it medical Acupuncture and use this medical system?

I find all of that a sad commentary.

They ALL should be caught and prosecuted but then you would have to fix the

rigged judiciary.

Richard,

You are preaching to the choir.

It is unrealistic to expect ethical behavior in a basically (IMHO)

unethical society.

I much prefered the days before we became part of the mainstream here in

the west.

Back when we had to find a teacher to apprentice with and before we created

the national exam.

Back when a set of initials meant nothing -although in reallity i still find

them to mean little.

Back when the only advertising was patient word of mouth and you were either

good at helping or not.

nauseam
