Guest guest
Having a vasectomy on top of any pre-existing LR imbalance (as, it would have to be agreed, most men have to a greater or lesser degree) would surely exacebate the imbalance. My initial question was more along the lines of " Is it worth it? " Yes, the constant worry over pregnancy certainly a huge issue. Yes, raising children creates the highest of highs and deepest of frustrations. However, what are the long term implications for the person having it done? It is recently becoming widely accepted how damaging the Pill is, as with HRT. We are yet to become informed about the effects of viagra but there is no doubt that they are there. Vasectomies have not been around for that long, yet are an extremely common operation. Alternatives can always be considered, however with this particular choice, does it create long term damage? Does this damage outway the risk? From the experience of everyone, are there any long term implications anyway? Testicular cancer is not one that would please many prospective candidates, but how common is this? Maybe it would be a great research paper for a Masters....
