Acubriefs.com <http://www.acubriefs.com/> was established by the Medical

Acupuncture Research Foundation (MARF) of the American Academy of Medical

<http://www.medicalacupuncture.org/index.html> Acupuncture (AAMA) in 2000

to make available online the most comprehensive database of acupuncture

references in the English language. Since then Acubriefs has continuously

added references from numerous sources, expanded its Personal Librarian

Services, and published monthly reviews and current citations via email and

its website.

Currently, the <http://www.acubriefs.com/search.htm> Acubriefs Database

contains over 21,000 citations on acupuncture and related techniques (TENS,

laser therapy, moxibustion, etc.).

Our sources are:

* Medline-indexed journals

* Non-indexed journals published in the US, the UK and China

* Web-based sources

* Acubriefs' exclusive source of translated citations and abstracts

from China

* Clinical trials underway in the US

* News articles

Our Librarian Services <http://www.acubriefs.com/librarian.htm> have

expanded and are available to researchers, students and clinicians needing

assistance with searches and bibliography development. If you are seeking

help putting together a bibliography we are the place to go!

We continue to enjoy the support of SEIRIN-USA

<http://www.seirinamerica.com/> and <http://www.lhasaoms.com/welcome.html>

Lhasa/OMS Acupuncture Supplies, and have added Acufinder.com

<http://www.acufinder.com/> , TCMtests.com

<http://www.tcmtests.com/?acubriefs=1> ,

<http://www.medicalacupuncture.org/aama_marf/statechp/azaama.html> The

Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture as sponsors.

We are very thankful as well for several individual donors.

We would like to be able to carry on and expand the quality of the Acubriefs

database, and are hence asking for your support. If you recognize the

importance of maintaining this database both from a research perspective as

well as a clinical guide, and source for your patients please support our

efforts. Our intention is to allow this valuable database to remain free and

readily accessible to all.

PS: We all need to prioritize our charitable giving. Acubriefs.com continues

to operate in the red. Acubriefs's and/or BBW'S accounting records are

available for your evaluation. I think anyone with business savvy would be

impressed by what we are doing from an income/expense standpoint. It is

clear that Acubriefs.com survives through ongoing charitable support.
