Guest guest
Hello Group, Here in Denmark we have more or less skipped autumn this year! Two weeks ago we still had temperatures like in late summer, and plants - in their confusion - thought it was spring. Then we had two-three days of real Danish autumn weather with cold winds and rains. (This usually goes on for about six to eight weeks during the usual autumn). Now - skipping autumn - we are experiencing typical january weather. Pulses have failed to change into the pulse of autumn in most patients I have seen during this season. In spring the change was significant.... Any suggestions to what could be the result of this in terms of disease patterns - what to expect? Best regards, Thomas Sorensen L.Ac. Guest guest
I've been watching this developing over the last few years. The seasons seem to be moving forward. This year they've moved so far forward that as you said, autumn only had a few weeks before winter set in. It's all very odd, but interesting. Guest guest
Attilio- You should try living where I am at. I live in the heart of Alaska. We are only getting about 4 hours of sun light a day. Many folks here have something called Seasonal Affectiveness Disorder (S.A.D.) Many individuals here use acupuncture as a method of treatment. About 200 miles north of where I am at, the sun doesn’t even come up. They get a bit of day light for about 2 hours a day, but the sun doesn’t peak over its mountains from November 15th to January 15th Nicholas Chinese Medicine Chinese Medicine On Behalf Of Attilio DAlberto Saturday, November 19, 2005 12:08 PM Chinese Medicine Re: Skipped a season! Guest guest
Hello Nicholas, I live in Anchorage, it has been a growing concern about global warming and people who have been observing things for a long while are quite organized about it, this season especially. I agree we need to be looking into this flu season very carefully, we are on the front line with lots of folks coming through here from Asia, and all down the coast I imagine. Getting extra rest is definitely called for, but often hard to get when the rest of the world is on a 8hour schedule of work no matter what. sigh, Rozz Nicholas wrote: > Attilio- > You should try living where I am at.
