Hello All;

I have a question regarding these two.

It is my understanding that both " tonifies " the kidneys, however, my text

has noted that Yin Yang Huo fortifies both the Yin and Yang, and that the Ba

Ji Tian only fortifies the Yang.

In regards to its use, which do most prefer to use, as from what I have read

they are similar in fashion?

Thanks for the help.

I always find it helpful to understand the herbs based on their

physiological effect on my body. The one time I took Yin Yang Huo I

was a bull in heat and slept very little. A blast of yang, to hell

with Viagra.

Can't same the same for Ba Ji Tian, as perhaps more of a core

'strengthening' feeling.

Both herbs can be used for kd yang xu and wind-cold bi. BaJiTian gets

used in formulas also for specifically mending bones and sinews,

which is one way to differentiate it from yin yang huo. Yin yang huo

& ba ji tian are both a part of er xian tang which is for menopausal

symptoms with kd yin and yang xu, but yin yang huo provides the kd

yin supplement. Yin yang huo also can anchor the yang fire from empty

fire or lr yang rising.
