Hyperthyroidism and Grave's disease

Hi all

 

Does anyone have experience in treating patients with Grave's disease,

both with herbs and acupuncture?! In that cause I would be most thankful

for info regarding treatment strategy, length of treatment and so on!!!!

it sometimes follows a LV offending ST pattern

 

the exophthalmos of eyes - LV

the emaciation - ST

the overeating - Middle Burner Heat which is largely ST

the rapid pulse - Mother LV on Son Ht

the hyperactivity - LV Wind

 

you would have to confirm this pattern by:

1. chronology of symptoms

2. tongue picture

3. face color & hue

4. hara

5. pulse profile

6. vessel signs

 

of these 1 to 3 would be decisive factors, 4 to 6 to clinch

 

if all is well a bi phasal approach would ease matters in 3 sessions,

ameliorate in 5
