We have a similar problem here... In Texas, a recent law (Sept 2005)by legislature mandates that if an insurance company covers acupuncture by physician it must also cover acupuncture by a licensed acupuncturist. Somebody forgot to tell United Health though. Since they cover a very limited amount of conditions (post-op nauseau, osteoarthritis of the knee or hip) I let it slide. It will take time, folks. The insurance system is barely navigational even for those who chose exclusively allopathic medicine. Gabrielle
