fat ankles

I have a new patient, she has interesting condition.

Both ankles have fat tissue accumulation around GB40,

size about 11/2 in. in diameter. Had it for many

years, since teens, she is 54 now.Had repetitive ankle

dislocations when played volleyball for highschool

team. Otherwise in good health, no other complaints

except occasional constipation, for which sena works

very vell. She wants to try acupuncture to resolve

this long lasting issue. Has anybody seen anything

something is aggressing on the GB component of Wood and has done that

enough for Cold & phlegm to invade

 

the blob at GB is phlegm rather than fat and will by and large have a

cold feel to it unless when it takes to flame

 

if it happened at puberty or soon after it one thinks of a Def in K

Water which was simply not enough to sustain puberty and LV Blood

bet the dislocation is eversion based rather by an inverted foot

GB weakness will often do this

 

the mechanism is the same for genesis of foot drop

and one can't have an ankle dislocation unless one has a touch of foot

drop, or foot drag

 

for an dislocation at ankle major tendon weakness has to happen and as

GB rules tendons a weakness in its qi and with settled Cold & Phlegm at

GB 40 makes it certain there will be troble here

 

acupuncture will help dramatically once the 5 E pattern is settled

 

is she a Water Xu?

is she a LU Metal Tarnished?

 

she can't be a Wood on Wood

she can't be a Fire Reversed

and she cannot be an Earth whatever

 

of the two Metal seems indicated

run a checklist this should be easy enough to narrow down

 

if it is LU a biphasal prescription will settle the issue double quick

 

Q how to know the ankle has stabilized and GB is zinging well?

A when phlegm leaves

 

the one thing one may not do is work locally

one does not want to lose such an obliging sign
