Hi all

Id love some advice please.

I treated a man for neckpain last week, took full history ,checked

blood pressure, he had had Acupuncture before with no problems, had

eaten food fairly recently and all the other things normally checked

were ok. Put him in the massage chair and to cut a long story short he

fainted-according to him for the first time in his life!

From your experience can the neck be treated on a couch effectively?

Any tips on avoiding this situation in the future?

I did deal with it well but it wasnt too good for my Adrenaline levels!!

Cheers Sharon

Hi Sharon,

I guess you also checked his medications (if any) and that he is not on any

blood pressure medication?

Could he remember what happened just before? Wondering if something big

emotional tried to surface up?

rx wise, any med affecting lytes or causing

orthostatic changes in bp/p could contribute to

fainting. lynn
