Guest guest
Does anyone use these machines in their practice? Do they make a difference in treatment outcome, are they worth having? How about the MSAS Professional Bio Meridian machine? Thanks for any input. Mary
Guest guest
I have one of these (http://www.hepoch.com/emas/). I thought it would be cool to have at health fairs since people seem to really be into computers telling them something about themselves. It does provide some interesting information but I have not once used it in my clinic. I suppose for someone who didn't have extensive training, or was just into gadgets (like me) it is kind of cool. I'm looking to sell mine, if anyone is interested. Christopher Vedeler L.Ac., C.Ht. Oasis Acupuncture http://www.oasisacupuncture.com 8233 N. Guest guest
I used an EMI machine in my clinic for several years. One of the syndromes which it purports to detect is a " split. " This is defined as a significant difference in readings between right and left sides in the same meridian. (I have not read about any classical pulse taking methods which distinguished between a left stomach pulse and a right stomach pulse, for example.) According to Aaron, there is no classical way to detect a " split, " and this syndrome may be the root of some cases which seem to resist treatment. (Perhaps this is analogous to the way that certain scars seem to block energy and cause problems even years after the original injury until they are finally resolved.) I didn't detect a lot of splits, but using a Lo vessel strategy the results sometimes favorably surprised me. Patients really DID like the graphs in color and they liked the way that the meridians seemed to " come into balance " as treatment progressed. Guy Porter, DC (gasp!) You install it on your computer. Then there is this measuring device. What does it measure, heat, moisture, electrical resistance?
