Guest guest
I looked up candida on the net and one site gave a home test by putting morning saliva in a glass of water and if it gets stringy or clouds the water this is indicative a a candida problem. Has anyone ever heard of this, is there any truth to this simple test? The site also recommended a herbal remedy called ThreeLac, at 50 bucks a bottle I was wondering if anyone has tried it with success. or perhaps there is a cheaper remedy I can use. I appreciate any help, Thanks, Sandi Photos – Showcase holiday pictures in hardcover Photo Books. You design it and we’ll bind it!
Guest guest
Another test is just a questionare go to http://www.flora-balance.com/candida_quest_short.asp . I have found what has worked best is just dont feed it and you have to stay strict on the plan other wise it will not work, You can take herbs that will help but it is not going to cure the problem, you have to starve the yeast. If you interested there is a Candida support group and she will give you all the details how to overcome it her way. The other thing that I have done is the fasting and that will only work as long as I stay green with the drinks, you get into the high carb drinks it will not work either. I will give an example, I did a 24 day fast and my live juice on that I drank carrot and apple and onlt several glasses a day. I lost 8 pounds, that isnt normal. I can do the same thing on greens and lose triple the weight. Hope this helps some. Guest guest
Hi Sandi: There are some good books out on candida...one is called the Yeast Connection is by Dr. William Crook and the other is the Yeast Syndrome by John Parks Trowbridge. There is a questionnaire that you can take to see if you have Candida. Where I live (Mexico) one can take an early morning stool sample to the lab and have it checked for Candida. I use a grapefruit seed extract that you can buy at any health food store. This is excellent for getting rid of candida and E-coli, parasites and several fungi. I do not know what it would cost where you live, however, the last time I visited the state I saw it for 15.00 dollars. I use the grapefruit seed extract for disinfecting my fruit and veggies. You need to take in water. DO NOT take is straight...the taste is disgusting and it will sting your mouth. Be well and have faith, MeganBriasandia <briasandia wrote: I looked up candida on the net and one site gave a home test by putting morning saliva in a glass of water and if it gets stringy or clouds the water this is indicative a a candida problem. I have heard of the water test & it is accurate. I have found the Yeast connection book to be very helpful also. The biggest culprite I have found is sugar. If I start eating too much sugar the symptoms start all over. I have one werid one, my left ear gets allergic to all metal except gold....then I know I am in trouble...lol.. good luck solving yours. Guest guest
Thanks Megan and Gina for your advice! Megan, I will most definately be getting the grapefruit extract before this day is over. Wow, can't imagine just being able to take a specimen in for tests without a Dr.'s rx. That's truely being allowed to take responsibilty for your own health. Gina, I took the long form of the test on the website, a score of 180 means it's pretty certain, I scored a whopping 264. I found a product at Walmart (yeah I know, scary) called AZO Yeast. It contains boneset, mistletoe, and lactobacillus. Once a day for prevention, or as in my case 3 times a day to help cure. I'm going to be combining the AZO with grapefruit extract, and cutting out white sugar. Hopefully this will do the trick. Thanks again, Sandi Photos Ring in the New Year with Photo Calendars.
