Guest guest
I used someone's wonderful idea of mixing cayenne with castor oil, and accidentally got some in my eye last night. Sure it burned like acid, and I cried- assuming that I'd rinsed my eye out well. Then I went to sleep assuming all would be well. I even joked to my hubby that maybe I wouldn't need my glasses in the morning! lol Well, when I woke up this morning my eye was a vibrant red. It didn't really hurt, just felt a bit tired. I sprayed repeatedly with CS throughout the day. By this evening it looked as though I'd broken a blood vessel and feels quite irritated. I put some CS/DMSO in it, which made it feel even more irritated. I'm guessing that my eye has been burned by the cayenne (?? Which is weird to me as I've read of Dr. Christopher putting cayenne in his eyes). Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Raine
Guest guest
I don't think your eye got burned by the cayenne powder, b/c cayenne is an ingredient in the eye bright formula. I have used this formula and it works great. I think the cayenne mixed with the oil is the culprit. I think it is allowing the cayenne to hang around a lot longer than it should and it is hard for your eye to flush the oil-cayenne mixture out.... herbal remedies [herbal remedies ]On Behalf Of RaineThursday, January 05, 2006 4:26 AMherbal remedies Subject: Herbal Remedies - Cayenne + Eyes = Oops!I used someone's wonderful idea of mixing cayenne with castor oil, and accidentally got some in my eye last night. Guest guest
I use a eye formula and i believe it started with DR Christopher and it had Cayenne in it and it fills wonderful after you use it. It feels like after you scrub your teeth how clean that feels your eyeballs will fill the same. My dad got rid of his cateracts with it and my prescription went down a number. I am back to using it every morning again so we will see maybe I can get my vision even corrected more while I am on this fast. Guest guest
Hi Gina, I am newbie and find this group's messages very interesting and personally i have been suffering from glaucoma for over a year do you think your eye formula would help me?? I was given the usual drops which i put for for a week and then decided to throw away the bottle and never visited the medico again...... quite drastic action but i felt the drops were not quite helping me....so i do live my life with alot visionary irritations which accelerate day to day. How do prepare your "eye formula" or you purchase it / mail-order it? Any advice from you or any member of this group with experience on glaucoma will be appreciated. Thank you May Goodwin Gina Kopera <ginakopera1 wrote: I use a eye formula and i believe it started with DR Christopher and it had Cayenne in it and it fills wonderful after you use it. Guest guest
Raine, Sorry about your eye. It was me- that did that. I would just apply an ice pack or cool compress and just leave it and let your body handle it. Debra
Guest guest
Nah Debra, I'm pretty sure it was me who got it in my eye! lol And I'm thinking that Rob's right in that the oil was responsible for the irritation, rather than the cayenne. I've found the same as you have, that the granulated cayenne falls out of suspension in the castor oil. I'm thinking a tincture would mix better- just waiting for the next new moon to get one going. In the meantime I'm taking Schulze's Circulation formula (cayenne/garlic/ginger tincture) in my Panther Piss each morning, and doing hot/cold hydrotherapy. -Raine Debra Savage wrote: Raine, Sorry about your eye. Guest guest
Dear Raine, Even though I've never heard of anyone bursting one of the smaller blood vessels using Cayenne, I suppose it could be possible, especially if the blood vessel in question was already weakened. However, I strongy doubt you did any permanent damage to your eye. Adding the DMSO the next day would only have exacerbated the already existing condition, but again without any permanent damage. One of my patients a few years ago, made the mistake of putting the EyeBright Formula (mine has DMSO in it already) directly into one of his eyes without diluting it. He told me he couldn't open his eye for an hour, and the next day his was also bright red. It cleared up in a few days and his eye was as good as ever. ;-) Soooooo, I wouldn't worry. Where Garlic CAN physically burn, Cayenne will not. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Hi Doc, It took a few days, but my eye is better now. I don't have any other symptoms or problems from my experience.
