[Colloidal Silver] Stan Jones brew.

Most of you will have heard the Stan Jones argyria story. For fun I recently made my own 'bad' batch as a comparison. I used one 9v battery and 250 mls (half pint) of plain tap water with a ppm of about 200. I brewed it for about 45 mins. It immediately developed a white cloud around the anode (+) and after 45 mins the whole jar was a dense white/grey. Then I sat it on the window for about 30 mins to see how photo sensitive it was. Within 30 mins it was an impenetratable dark grey. Not quite black, but not far from it. Theres no way I'd drink it. You have to see it to believe it . This does not resemble my usual brew at all. In fact I doubt my dog would drink it. Now Stan Jones apparently made this concoction every day for about 3 years and drank plenty of it. Even worse, he used 3 nine volt batteries and added extra salt to the water! Boy he must have used up some silver. No wonder he developed argyria. But even then his symptoms were very mild. It just goes to show that you have to work really hard and be prepared drink almost anything for a long time to develop argyria.David
