need help for aggressive/destructive behaviors

hi, I have a 12 year old autistic son. we are in the process of detoxifying him for heavy metals. He is having a lot of aggression, self injurious, destructive behaviors and tantrums. His doctor says this is a sign of the metals mobilizing and to ride it out. It's been going on for a month, he's going to get kicked out of his class at school and I'm at my wit's end.

Does anyone know of anything I can give him to help calm him?

Ask your doctor to slow down the treatment or adapt it. What your son is going through sounds like a healing crisis, and even though some holistic practitioners expect them, they do not need to happen. If this was happening to a child in my practice I would adapt his/her treatment so that the "crisis" was not as intense. Try giving him some chamomile and oatstraw tea to calm the irritation and make sure he si gettign at least 2000mg of Vitamin C and 400 of Vitamin E a day (antioxidents and anti-inflammatories). Borage oil, (referred to as the " happy oil " ) there is another oil

that begins with a k and I can't for the life of me remember the

name of it, it helps as well.

P.S. I experienced negative mood swings myself and talked to others

that did also, when I was doing a heavy metal cleanse. Try to

remember...and this too shall pass.

Is he on something to bind the metals as they expell? Like

bentonite?
