anyway I devloped Laryngopharyngeal Reflux after being misdiagonsed for 2 months, and the stomach acid messed up my throat/esophagus/sinuses etc... anyway I am having trouble swallowing and have not been able to eat solid foods in more than 2 months, my throat/esophagus is so irritated, anyway I am on 2 nexium a day and its helping but the recovery is so slow, I am just parying that i will be able to eat real food soon, hopefully the slippery elm will help me Thanks again

yes, I prefer the herb as a tea as my first choice, the lozenges as a second choice and the tincture as a third choice. What you really want from this herb is for it's properties to coat your esophagus, the tincture is not the best way for that to happen but the other ways works wonderfully! Dawn,

Would you please share how you make your slippery elm tea? This is one of the

herbs I'm currently researching and I've read conflicting ways of making the

tea.

Make it as a tea, and steep it in chesecloth folded a few times or in a coffee filter. Hi, It is a bark, but a soft bark so I steep it for 20 minutes. Some people say to decoct it but if you do the mucus soothing properties are destroyed.
