Petroleum based products should be avoided.

There are too many skin nourishing oils available especially

organic, cold pressed oils.

Jojoba oil leaves the skin soft without a greasy feeling. It has a

very long shelf life because it is actually a liquid wax. It

closely resembles our sebum which makes it a good choice for the

face either used alone or in a cream or lotion.

Emu oil. It penetrates the skin and is a great carrier oil with

therapeutic benefits. (using essential oils, etc) I like to use

emu oil with lavender essential oil for skin care and found it helps

soften the wrinkles. (Probably because it " plumps " up the skin

tissue). Also, it is known for healing properties, especially

burns.

Apricot kernal, evening primrose oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil,

hazelnut oil, sweet almond oil are also skin loving oils. These are

some good choices if you want to make your own lotions and creams

without all the synthetic additives and fragrances.

As you know, if it goes on your skin it is absorbed into your body.

> Debra,

to his reply. I also wanted to add one idea that was explain to me

recently on the subject of fine lines and wrinkles:

moisturize our faces. One would be from the inside out - making

sure we are drinking lots of water. The other way would be to put

something on the face that is moisturizing. I don't know of any

natural moisturizers. Hopefully someone here can suggest

something. My father actually puts olive oil on his face which he

thinks helps with wrinkles.
