Guest guest
Hi, I joined this list last week and haven't had time to introduce myself yet. I am a SAHHM of three kids dd12, dd10, and ds7. We're a busy family to be sure. I have been using herbs since I had my kids. I have also been using CS for many years. A few years back there was a big scare about CS causing Argyria, bluish tint to skin, if it's used in excessive amounts for prolonged periods of time. I can't find my information on that at this time. This is a wonderfully informative list that I hope I will be able to offer something to, in addition to learning from. Many Blessings for a Happy and Healthy New Year! Nancy Robbins S. Florida
Guest guest
Hi, As far as I can tell from doing my own extensive research Argyria is only caused by Protien+Silver combinations and even then its only caused when the user is using EXTREMELY high doses such as anything above say 100 Parts Per Million. For Silver Colliod its not about the Parts per million its more or less about the size of the partilces. Normal doses of Silver in the 10-30 PPM range are fine. Protien+silver solutions usually have a much larger particle size thus rendering them almost useless. Also I've seen several sites about Argyria and I'll I've ever seen is the same picture of a man and a woman. If you ask me the people in the picture were probably making their own silver and used the wrong type of silver. Silver Colliod can only be made using 9999.9% silver wire. Some other types of lower quality are Sterling silver which can be toxic and I think might have resulted in their skin turning silver. Silver Colliod by itself is safe but there is a lot of false information that you have to navigate though first. Hope this helps. --- manna5 <manna5 wrote: > Hi, > > I joined this list last week and haven't had time to > introduce myself yet. > I am a SAHHM of three kids dd12, dd10, and ds7. > We're a busy family to be > sure. > > I have been using herbs since I had my kids. > > I have also been using CS for many years.
