doc.....question on asthma

Any alternatives to using an inhaled steriod for asthma? Cold air really kicks up my asthma. My doctor put me back on singulair and flovent and that lasted about 4 days. He said that was for winter allergies and inflammation. Can't handle the side effects and don't want to take drugs anymore.

 

I know you don't know my history and can't really diagnose me over the group but what else can one take to reduce or eliminate inflammation in the lungs?

 

Magnesium has really helped me alot but I am looking for some other things to add.
