Guest guest
Hi Doc: I need to know what besides St. Johns Wort I should be taking for depression? Have given up effexor-xr completely but still need something to take the edge off the depression. I am also wondering which herb would help best with high cholesterol and high blood pressure? My goal is to go herbal as much as possible and get off of as many prescriptions as possible. DUE TO ALLERGIES: I cannot take echinacea or chamomile. Guest guest
St Johns Wort works to relieve mild depression. Ginger can be taken with any other antidepressant herbs that you are taking. "very good". Purslane contains up to 16 percent antidepressant compounds, "figured on a dry-weight basis". [also very good} A supplement of phenylalanine [amino acid] to your diet and vitamin B6 help severe depression to rapid improvement...
