need help - tonsil surgery, is it necessary

My 8 year old granddaughter was DX with strep throat yesterday, Strep A. Her doctor informed me that she should have her tonsils removed as soon as possible. Is there an alternative to having this surgery and if so, what? Gina God will heal your broken heart If you give him ALL the pieces.

My 9 year old son just had a golf ball size knot on his neck, sore throat, fever and canker sores. I kept on giving Epsom salt bath, super food, echincea plus. I know when I have had a sore throat I would put cayenne on it an the pain goes away instantly but for a child maybe to dramatic. But my son was taking the Echinecea plus that has very little cayenne in it and that would help numb up his mouth and throat and take the pain away and he would just repeat several times a day.This all started Friday and today he is much better, so it has been 6 days and this was on of those deals that could of easily lasted alot longer if we wouldn't of done anything. Have her drink a tea made of cleavers, red clover and violet leaves 2-3 times a day. I have had this work on at least 2 clients of mine (who avoided surgury). Also, get a second opinion; step throat does not automatically = tonsilectomy.
