Guest guest
My husband is living proof that this garlic intake " works " . He followed Docs recommendation for 6 weeks before going to his cardiologist and came out with the lowest blood pressure reading in " years " . Adding to that - I quit smoking last July and my blood pressure spiked for a while. I started doing the garlic and seem to have mine under control as well. Also I had my cholestrol checked at Curves and my readings were all excellent again. We buy organic garlic now and remain faithful to several cloves a day. No we don't stink LOL. If you chew garlic - it seems to ward off evil spirits and friends. But taking it whole like a big pill is not offensive to anyone. Marilyn Below is a cut and paste from Doc: Take 8 to 12 cloves of Garlic a day. Cut 'em in half lengthwise, with the grain, dip 'em in olive oil and down the hatchet like a pill. You can take them all at one time or split 'em up througout the day. Garlic is the permanent handling for HBP and for cleaning out clogged arteries. It kills off the nanobacteria responsible for creating the plaque on the walls of veins and arteries, and as a natural chelator, bonds with existing proteins and helps to remove that plaque. Works great. Tastes great. If I could have only one " Non emergency " herb on the planet, it would be Garlic - " rdtabby_rstabler " <rdtabby_rstabler <herbal remedies > Tuesday, December 27, 2005 3:06 PM Herbal Remedies - I'm a " newbie " with some questions... > Hello, > > I was referred to this website and am a " newbie " to it all. Guest guest
I just sent the following information to a friend of mine for her brother and father who both have high blood pressure and are on meds. Here's the recommendations in the book " The Miracle of Magnesium " by Carolyn Dean, M.D., N.D. Supplements for Heart Disease/High Blood Pressure Magnesium: 300 mg twice per day Coenzyme Q10: 30 mg three times a day Bromelain: 500 mg three times a day between meals Vitamin E as mixed tocopherols: 400 IU twice a day Crategus tincture: 20 drops two to three times a day Bioflavonoids rutin or quercetin: 500 mg daily Biotin: 5 mg daily for artherosclerosis add: Niacin (vitamin B3): 100 mg three times a day, working up to 6 g daily. Do not use time-release niacin, which has been associated with liver damage. Niacinamide (which does not cause flushing) is not effective for lowering cholesterol. Folic acid: 800 mcg daily Vitamin B6: 50 mg daily Vitamin B complex: 50 mg per day Vitamin C: 1,000 mg three times a day Calcium: 1,000 mg daily (especially aids hypertension)
Guest guest
My grandfather was an herbalist (way long ago). I can remember playing in his attic where there were lots of herbs drying. It was awesome. I wish I'd been older before he died so I could have gleaned some of his knowledge. My grandmother had was diagnosed with HBP. I remember that my grandfather would dig wild garlic and she would eat it every day with lunch and supper. My grandmother did die of complications due to HBP (burst blood vessel in her brain) - at age 90! I'd say that's pretty much a success story. Guest guest
Dear Marilyn, Wellllllllll, give your hubby a big pat on the back from me and tell him he's tops in my books. Herbal Remedies are so simple when you get right down to it. Not only are they completely easy and make total sense, they are AFFORDABLE!!!!!! Back in 1918 there was a guy who wrote a book having to do with Victory Gardens. In South Africa, everyone has their own little plot of garden where they grow their own fresh veggies and fruit. We need to do this here. I'm looking at installing window gardens this year throughout all the windows of the entire southern exposure of the apartment Valorie and I are moving into. This is where you create an entire garden in your window spaces by extending the windows out a foot or two. I figure that if I can do this in an apartment, anyone can do it. I'll keep y'all posted on how this goes. Guest guest
See answers below in this color, style and font. Doc Shillington727-447-5282Doc - rdtabby_rstabler herbal remedies Wednesday, December 28, 2005 2:45 PM Re: Herbal Remedies - I'm a "newbie" with some questions... Thank you all for your shared information. I discontinued taking the samples of cholesterol meds that my doc gave to me. It's almost like my body resists taking some of those synthetic meds. Right on. Will the garlic also help the high cholesterol (LDL, triglycerides, etc.) come down too? I know you were each referring mainly to high blood pressure...... Absolutely! Remember, take 8 to 12 Cloves a day. Don't think about whimping out here. I once had a 70 year old woman patient in terrible shape who took 24 cloves a day. I use garlic in my cooking but not enough to make a difference. Nope! You need extra and it needs to be raw!!!!What kind/brand of garlic do you suggest in purchasing? Do you have an aftertaste after consuming it? Any kind as long as it's RAW and ORGANIC!!! You'll have as much after taste as you are toxic. The more toxic you are, the more you'll stink. As you continue taking it, you'll stink less and less as time goes by and as you detoxify. In Health and Love, Doc
Guest guest
Any number of things can turn on. You can turn on a mild Healing Crisis where you are experiencing a past disease that was never fully allowed to run its course correctly and was suppressed by pharmaceuticals. If you use Echinacea in conjunction with the Garlic, this Healing Crisis phenomenon will be minimal if not nonexistent. You can experience a tremendous "stink", though mostly others will smell it since it will exude from all of your pores and organs including the tissues around your olfactory passages. Others will complain when you are not even aware of any odor. Wear a sign warning people to stay away. They'll appreciate the thought and the humor of it all. ;-) Of course all kinds of good things will happen too. Your health will grow in leaps and bounds. If I could have only one non emergency herb, it would be Garlic. My number one emergency herb would be Cayenne. I think that Garlic is the most versatile herb in the world.
